Horsham Rugby Club is proud to be fundraising and supporting the Wooden Spoon Charity, The Children’s Charity of Rugby at this year’s Fireworks Event which is taking place on Saturday 2nd November 2019.
Wooden Spoon is the children’s charity of rugby. They fund life-changing projects across the UK and Ireland supporting children and young people with disabilities or facing disadvantage. Since their founding in 1983, they have distributed in excess of £26 million to more than 700 life-changing projects. Our rugby heritage gives us our core values of passion, integrity, teamwork and fun, and working closely with the wider rugby community, our values drive the ethos and spirit in everything we do.
The Sussex Region will be attending the Fireworks where you will be able to make donations at their tent and also look at the incredible work they have done across Sussex. All proceeds made on the evening will help disadvantaged children in Sussex – Wooden Spoon have just completed funding of £15000 for the QE2 school for an outdoor play area.
There are various fund raising activities organized by the Sussex Region and you are invited to support them such as a Christmas Lunch on Brighton Pier and a Sussex Rugby Golf Championship.
We are looking forward to seeing you all on 2nd November at the biggest Fireworks display in Horsham.
